Design Philosophy

The elements of the design philosophy that shapes and guides our work are reliability, sustainability and cost-effectiveness of the designed electrical systems. Electrical systems are critical to building functionality, so we prioritize the design of systems that are reliable and able to withstand the demands of the environment in which they will be used. We also incorporate the use of energy-efficient technologies and design practices that reduce the overall energy consumption of a building. And we know that electrical systems can be expensive to install and maintain, so we prioritize cost-effective design solutions that help to keep costs down while still meeting the needs of the building and its users.

Lighting Design

PWA Engineering is committed to providing high quality lighting design to create a comfortable and visually appealing environment that is functional for the intended use of each space. We ensure that lighting levels are appropriate for the intended use of each space, and we design for energy efficiency to reduce overall energy consumption. PWA Engineering has a corporate sustaining membership with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), which provides a library of lighting resources and ongoing learning opportunities to ensure that our team has the most up-to-date skills and knowledge.
